For 30 years, the staff and volunteers at the Asylum Seekers Centre have been that somebody; helping generations of people seeking asylum to survive and thrive.
ASC provides meals, family basics, healthcare appointments, aid with finding a home, getting a job and making community connections - offering women, men and children who have fled persecution in their home country somebody to lean on.

The latest lockdown in Greater Sydney has been challenging for people seeking asylum and there is likely to be more hardship ahead.

With the goal of making information about the practical support on offer at the Asylum Seekers Centre the team went to work on building new website. Many of the stills were taken over several visits to the centre. The site was put together by Communication & Digital Marketing Coordinator Lucy Smith.
